MOVE! Group Sessions is a weight loss program developed for Veterans.
Brand New Day has developed a program based on MOVE! that creates a group experience that is engaging, inspiring, and creates accountability so that the facilitator can help participants build and refine their weight self-management skills.
The goals (which is set by the participants) is to achieve at least a 5-10% weight loss in total and complete 150-300 minutes or more of physical activity per week. The sessions include nutrition, physical activity, and behavior topics.
Each session will have an activity break and encourage participation from all attendees. The participants will be provided a Food and Physical Activity Diary, handouts, a weight scale, a pedometer, and a resistant band for exercise.
